Why the Elliot AED fully automatic outperforms heavier alternatives

Around 25,000 Australians experience a sudden cardiac arrest outside hospital annually. Without a shock within the first few minutes, survival odds fall sharply. A fully automatic AED removes hesitation - the device analyses the rhythm and acts, so the bystander does not have to.

A fully automatic AED from Integrity Health & Safety gives you:

Automatic shock delivery

The Elliot analyses the heart rhythm and delivers a shock automatically - you do not need to press anything. That removes a critical point of hesitation for untrained bystanders.

No training required

The Elliot is fully automatic - it handles rhythm analysis and shock delivery without any input from the rescuer. Voice prompts and visual cues walk you through pad placement and CPR. No course required before you buy.

Compliance and legal use

All AEDs sold by Integrity Health & Safety are listed on the TGA's Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods. No licence is required to own or use a defibrillator in Australia.

Compliance support

From 1 January 2026, South Australian workplaces must have a defibrillator. The Elliot is fully automatic - meeting the intent of the legislation for an accessible, easy-to-use device. We can advise on site assessment, placement and staff familiarisation.

Competitive Pricing

A fully automatic AED removes the shock decision from a bystander under extreme stress. The Elliot does that, and adds Bluetooth monitoring, a built-in metronome for CPR and a 150-joule biphasic waveform - all at $1,395.

How to choose the right fully automatic AED

The choice between fully automatic AEDs comes down to portability versus clinical-grade coaching. The Elliot is the most portable fully automatic option.
For any setting where the rescuer may be untrained and the device needs to travel: the HeartHero Elliot. Fully automatic, 680 g, IP66.
The Elliot's fully automatic operation means no shock button decision under pressure. It analyses the heart rhythm, determines whether a shock is needed, and delivers it - the rescuer just follows the voice prompts.
The Elliot's fully automatic classification also matters for bystander confidence. When people know the device will not shock unnecessarily, they are more willing to use it - which is the point.
Not sure whether fully automatic is the right choice for your setting? Our team includes intensive care paramedics. We will assess your site and recommend the right AED at no cost.

Frequently asked questions

What does fully automatic actually mean for a defibrillator?

Do you need medical training to use a fully automatic AED?

How does the Elliot's automatic analysis work?

What size and weight is the HeartHero Elliot?

How does the Elliot generate ECG reports after use?

Fully automatic means the device analyses the patient's heart rhythm and delivers a shock without the rescuer pressing anything. You place the pads, the Elliot assesses whether a shock is needed, and delivers it automatically. Voice prompts and visual cues guide every other step.
No medical training is required. The Elliot is classified as a Publicly Accessible Defibrillator - it is designed for use by any bystander, regardless of background. It analyses heart rhythm automatically, delivers a shock if needed without any button press, and guides the rescuer through pad placement and CPR using clear voice prompts and visual cues.
When the pads are placed on the patient, the Elliot analyses the heart's electrical activity to determine whether a shockable rhythm is present. It detects ventricular fibrillation and fast ventricular tachycardia. If a shockable rhythm is found, it charges and delivers a shock automatically. If the rhythm is not shockable, it instructs the rescuer to continue CPR and reanalyses after the next compression cycle.
The Elliot measures 16 cm x 15.5 cm x 4.3 cm and weighs 680 grams including battery and pads. For comparison, that is smaller than a standard hardback book and lighter than most 600ml water bottles. The ergonomic carrying handle and rubberised grip make it easy to carry and deploy under pressure.
After the Elliot is used, the HeartHero App automatically generates a treatment summary report containing ECG data, timestamps, shock count and CPR activity. The report can be viewed in the app and shared as a PDF - useful for handover to paramedics, hospital staff or quality review programs. Data is stored securely in the cloud.
