Why a portable defibrillator is worth having within reach

In Australia, around 25,000 people experience a sudden cardiac arrest outside of hospital every year. Survival drops by roughly ten per cent for every minute that passes without defibrillation. The closer a portable defibrillator is to the casualty, the better the outcome.

A portable defibrillator from Integrity Health & Safety gives you:

Speed when it counts

A device that travels with you means no waiting for an ambulance or running to a wall-mounted unit.

Confidence for any rescuer

Voice prompts and CPR guidance walk untrained bystanders through every step. No medical training needed.

Peace of mind at home

Most cardiac arrests happen in the home. A small defibrillator on the shelf is protection for the people who matter most.

Compliance support

From 1 January 2026, defibrillators are mandated for the South Australian private sector. A portable AED helps multi-site businesses meet that obligation.

Competitive Pricing

Mobile teams, vehicles, sporting fixtures, building sites, boats and caravans benefit from a defibrillator that is not tied to a single wall.

How to choose the right portable defibrillator

The right portable defibrillator for you depends on where it will live and who will use it.
For homes, cars, boats, caravans and sports bags:
the HeartHero Elliot. Smallest, lightest, most weather-resistant.
For offices, schools, gyms and sporting clubs:
the ZOLL AED 3. Real-time CPR coaching and Wi-Fi-connected maintenance suit a shared, mostly stationary location.
For multi-site businesses and fleets:
a mix of both, with central readiness monitoring.
Not sure which is right for you? Our team includes intensive care paramedics. We will audit your existing defibrillators, batteries and pads and recommend the right setup at no cost.

Frequently asked questions

Do you need training to use a portable defibrillator?

How much does a portable defibrillator cost in Australia?

Are portable defibrillators legal to own and use in Australia?

Where should a portable defibrillator be kept?

What warranty and support comes with a portable defibrillator from Integrity Health & Safety?

No. Portable defibrillators are designed to be used by untrained members of the public. Each device gives clear voice prompts and analyses the casualty’s heart rhythm on its own, so it will not deliver a shock unless one is required. We do offer optional familiarisation training for workplaces that want their teams to feel confident before an emergency.
Prices typically range from around $1,400 to $3,000, depending on brand, features and warranty. The HeartHero Elliot is currently $1,395, and the ZOLL AED 3 Fully Automatic is $2,895 with free shipping. Bulk pricing is available for businesses purchasing multiple units. Talk to our team for a tailored quote.
Yes. Defibrillators are legal to buy and use in Australia, and no licence is required. All AEDs sold by Integrity Health & Safety are listed on the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods, which means they meet the safety and performance standards expected for medical devices in Australia.
A portable defibrillator should be stored somewhere visible, easy to reach, and away from extreme heat, cold or damp. Common locations include reception areas, kitchens, vehicles, gym bags, sporting club rooms and home hallway cupboards. The HeartHero Elliot’s IP66 rating means it can also be kept in less protected environments such as boats, utes and tradie work vans.
Every portable defibrillator we sell carries a manufacturer warranty of six to seven years, depending on the model. We also provide free advice on selection, free auditing of your existing equipment, online and face-to-face familiarisation training, and ongoing service and support. Our team is paramedic-led, so the people advising you have used these devices in real emergencies.
