The LIFEPAK CR2 Lithium Battery, part 11141-000165. One battery fits every CR2 model.

Your LIFEPAK CR2 has sat on the wall quietly, and now it is asking for something. Either the readiness indicator has changed, the service diary says four years are nearly up, or the unit has just been used and you want it back to ready. In each case the fix is the same LIFEPAK CR2 battery, and more often than not a fresh set of pads alongside it. This page covers what the battery costs, how long it lasts, how many shocks it holds, and why the pads are usually replaced on the same day. Integrity HS stocks both parts and ships them Australia wide.

What battery does a LIFEPAK CR2 take, and how often is it replaced?

The LIFEPAK CR2 runs on a single lithium battery, part 11141-000165, which gives four years of standby in an unused unit and holds 166 shocks at 200 joules or 103 shocks at 360 joules. It costs $325.82 and fits every CR2, semi or fully automatic. Matching replacement pads are $178.

LIFEPAK CR2 Lithium Battery

The four-year power source for every CR2

This is the battery for any CR2 owner whose unit is showing a low battery warning, is coming up to its four-year change, or has just been used in a rescue. One part number covers every CR2 model and both operating modes.

  • Four years between battery changesA new battery gives four years of standby in an unused unit, so a CR2 under its eight-year warranty needs one change part way through.
  • Far more shocks than any one rescue needsA fresh battery holds 166 shocks at 200 joules, or 103 shocks at the CR2's top setting of 360 joules.
  • Warns you well before it runs flatWhen the low battery warning first appears, at least six shocks and 30 minutes of operating time remain, so the unit stays usable while the new battery is on its way.
  • One battery, every CR2 modelSemi or fully automatic, Essential, WIFI or 4G Cellular, all take this battery, so a site with mixed units stocks one spare.
  • The part the unit was built forLithium chemistry, manufacturer part number 11141-000165, the same battery the CR2 shipped with rather than a substitute.

LIFEPAK CR2 Replacement Pads

One set for adults and children, on the same four-year cycle

These pads suit the owner changing a battery on a unit that has never been opened, and anyone whose CR2 has just been used. Pads are single use, and their four-year shelf life matches the battery, so the two usually fall due together.

  • One set covers adults and childrenThe CR2 has a child mode button that lowers the shock energy, so the same pads treat a child aged 1 to 8 or under 25 kg. There is no second pad set to buy or store.
  • Four years on the shelfA sealed set carries a four-year shelf life, the same interval as the battery, which is why most owners order both together.
  • Quick to changeQUIK-STEP electrodes peel straight off their base, so swapping a used or expired set takes no tools and no training.
  • Fits every CR2Essential, WIFI or 4G Cellular, semi or fully automatic, all take this one set, manufacturer part number 11101-000021.
  • Puts a used unit back into servicePads come off the patient and go in the bin after a rescue. Fitting a fresh sealed set is what returns the CR2 to ready.

Replacement interval and capacity lead, because that is what a battery search is really asking. These are two parts doing two jobs, so read the rows as a checklist for your unit, not a contest.

Which one do you need

Three situations account for nearly every CR2 consumables order we take. Find yours and the answer is on the last line.

The unit is showing a low battery warning

Nothing has happened to the CR2. It has been on standby long enough to use up its power, and the pads are still sealed and inside their shelf life.

Choose the battery. At least six shocks and 30 minutes remain once the warning shows, so the unit stays usable until the new one arrives.

The CR2 has just been used on someone

The pads went on a chest and came off again, so they are finished. The battery probably has plenty left, because a fresh one holds more than a hundred shocks.

Choose the pads. Fit a new sealed set the same day, then check the readiness indicator. Only add a battery if the low warning is showing.

Four years are up on a unit that has never been opened

The CR2 was installed in one go, so the battery and the pads started their four-year clocks on the same day. Replacing one leaves the other due within weeks.

Choose the battery and the pads together. One order, one visit to the unit, and both dates reset to the same month for the next four years.

Only the pads need replacing? Our LIFEPAK CR2 pads page covers the set on its own. For other brands, our AED battery and AED pads pages cover the rest of the range we stock. Our AED battery replacement page lists the battery every unit we stock takes and how long each one lasts.

Questions CR2 owners ask before they order

How long does a LIFEPAK CR2 battery last?

A new LIFEPAK CR2 battery gives four years of standby in a unit that is installed but never used, according to the manufacturer brochure. Using the unit shortens that, because every shock draws on the same battery. Most owners plan a battery change every four years and treat a rescue as a reason to check the readiness indicator sooner. The CR2 itself carries an eight-year warranty, so expect one battery change during that period.

How many shocks does the CR2 battery hold?

A fresh battery holds 166 shocks at 200 joules, or 103 shocks at 360 joules, which is the highest energy the CR2 can deliver. A single rescue uses a handful of shocks at most, so one battery has capacity for many events. When the low battery warning first appears, the unit still has at least six shocks and 30 minutes of operating time left, which gives you time to order a replacement.

Will the same battery fit a semi automatic CR2 and the WIFI or 4G models?

Yes. Manufacturer part 11141-000165 is the one battery for every LIFEPAK CR2 that Integrity HS stocks: the Essential Non WIFI, the WIFI and the 4G Cellular. It also fits both operating modes. Semi automatic means the rescuer presses the shock button when told to, and fully automatic means the unit delivers the shock itself. The power source is identical either way, so a site with mixed units needs only one spare.

Do I need to replace the pads when I replace the battery?

Not always, but usually. LIFEPAK CR2 pads have a four-year shelf life and the battery gives four years of standby, so on a unit installed in one go the two fall due within weeks of each other. Replacing both together, at $178 for the pads and $325.82 for the battery, means one order and one date to track. If the pads are recent and still sealed, replace the battery alone.

How much does a LIFEPAK CR2 battery cost in Australia?

The LIFEPAK CR2 Lithium Battery is $325.82 from Integrity HS, which ships Australia wide from Redfern, NSW. The matching LIFEPAK CR2 Replacement Pads are $178. Both are genuine manufacturer parts, 11141-000165 for the battery and 11101-000021 for the pads. If you are replacing consumables across several units, call 1300 720 024 and ask about pricing for the whole fleet.
